but then the printer started acting up and everything is aqua.... no reds, browns or grays - just blues and greens - aqua.

The printer uses Red, Cyan, yellow and black inks to print. You are down to cyan only and need a new ink cartridge.

My printer has an ink monitor and separate compartments for cyan, magenta, and yellow and won't work if any of them are empty. I have only made a few prints so far, so it should be nearly full, and the monitor says there is plenty of ink. I'll check the help folder - desperate measures for desperate times. *LOL*
