I had interesting time on that thread bout $30,000 view
seems people have beautiful homes around a lake
they took care of the lake
but the original developer didn't pay his taxes on lake, and sleazebag discovered it was up for auction, and purchased it from gov for $1000
now he is charging each homeowner $30,000 to look at lake
when they refused, he put up huge fence round lake so they can't see it
he painted side of fence which abuts their property ugly glaring colors
he said if all ten of them cough up $30,000 each, he'll sell the lake to them
I think he is a swindler and they should go to court
others argue this is private property, he can do what he wants

Would you call that guy a meshugina??? LOL...I am trying to learn Yiddish (per Habs isntructions) so I can talk to my Mom when she complains how much she dislikes Sharon and Bibi. In Italian we would call him a gabbone.

Its odd how a view, unobstructed for each property owner, wasn't part of the original development deal?I 'm curious, but does this shakedown artist have shoreline rights that allow him to deny access to the lake for each homeowner?Or were there no Riparian rights in ther original deed of sale?? Sounds like extortion to me........
