the Emperor and Darth Vader--never seem truly evil. They want to control the galactic government, build up their army and stamp out political opposition. Kind of like Republicans.

LOL. Yeah, I noticed that one too.
He's bang on the money about Sauron though, and the overall sence of evil in some scenes in LOTR was fantastic.
