Thanks for the Thune mention. I like his campaign slogan re: strong leadership. I enjoyed seeing the POTUS dropping by to show his support. I must say, South Dakotans got the best coverage that day.

We were having 24/7 Vatican Watch and the Blake Arrest on tv down here with maybe thirty seconds of the Dubya visit.

I was so frustrated that I called my aunt up in SD for real time information. You, Go, Thune, and thank you for stepping up to the plate.

RED ZONERS for Thune!

I typed in the artist's (Peggy Detmers) name at google, and found this VERY 'KEWL' graphic at a link: Horse. Check it out!

Thanks viking chick. Horse pictures are perfect for South Dakota threads. I had a buckskin named Spice in Huron. He and he sure could buck and he enjoyed the oval track at the State Fairgrounds a lot more than I did. WIDE OPEN!

Additionally, in Sioux Falls, my cousin had a white/black spotted horse and for some reason, she liked to cow kick me - the horse, not my cousin. LOL

So, I guess you could say that although I love horses, it wasn't exactly mutual.

Gee, a herd of Shetland ponies stampeded over me once at a farm near Sioux Falls. It looked just like it does in the movies. Lots of legs and the sound of hooves.

Nice pheasant! One of my screen names is pheasantx because I've hatched, raised, and released a few of those guys. They do not domesticate well. I even have a license!

Hey thanks for the ping! A guy I know was going to be working on Costner's buffalo project, but I don't know if he's still involved. He is also one of the four sculptors that is working on the presidential sculptures in Rapid City. He's a talented guy.

Speaking of outlaw encounters, my great-uncle Jack (aka Tulsa Jack) was a member of the Doolin Gang. There's a picture of him in a Time-Life book after the deputies shot him. They have him propped up like a trophy fish or something. Very wierd.

I realize how popular pheasant hunting is but I just didn't want to have any dead pheasant jpegs here. I'd like to find a nice picture of a pheasant that is alive. I remember pheasants hiding out in the tall grasses by our home and I MISS TUMBLEWEEDS. We don't have tumbleweeds in Florida.

You know the song, "The tumblin tumbleweeds." I miss 'em.

George, Teddy, Abe and ? Without peeking, who's the other great president that has slipped my mind? I can't see them right now.

From Rushmore, of course, not Dubya for once! RED ZONERS FOR TOURISM PING.
