Kim pitched in nine games for 9 2/3 innings of work and a 0.93 earned run average

My first thought: Not enough innings to make a true evaluation.

Remember, the Cardinals' Eli Marrero started the season 11 for 15. Lately, though, he's been 0 for 26.

Remember, Eli Marrero is a position player and Byung-Hyun Kim is a single-inning (usually, though once in awhile he comes in for two) relief pitcher in the closing role, ordinarily.
Kim just worked all three games against the Expos over the weekend (the Diamondbacks swept), including a Sunday night gig in which he punched out the side in his only inning (the ninth; he's got 27 strikeouts in 16 innings. only three walks, eleven hits, and one run in the span) and now has eight saves in eight save chances, including his third in his past four outings (the fourth wasn't a save situation). This is, I think, the first time he's worked five straight games in his career.
