You've got it right about the section 8-The contractor I work for bought a couple of run-down historic homes in a largely section 8 neighborhood for a very good price. He restored/remodeled them beautifully, then put them on the market, hoping to make a profit. No one who wanted to buy the houses could qualify for a loan, even though he had priced them reasonably, and so he went on showing them for months with no luck. Last week he finally rented one (under section 8), and sold the other one after agreeing to carry a second mortgage for 5 years. Bummer! He says he won't ever do that again.

I understand exactly where he is coming from. I can't even get people that already own section 8 housing to be interested in looking at this place, let alone buying it.
