Ah ha! Merlot is not trendy any more. So that explains why I got a case of a Russian River winery merlot at such a good price - It's not fashionable! The stuff is delicious, I got it for around $12/bottle. I went back to the wine shop to see if he had any more. No, he only had a few cases to begin with, and had gotten it because it was below cost! Very yummy stuff, and I am hoarding it.
