I wonder what kind of "sting" operation calls for officers to appear at a house, ask to come inside when a woman with a baby is at the door, and then ask her to sign a consent-to-search warrant? That doesn't sound like a "sting" to me. I am not against cops, I was married to one for 15 years and most of our friends were cops and their families. But I know that some aggressive control freaks get hired.

One of the later articles said it was a sting operation, and there were a number of "special" vehicles on site. The discussion was more about police tactics and procedure than about the facts of the case, which were relatively few at the time the thread was started.

I make a great effort, even painful sometimes, to avoid name calling and personal attacks and to remain reasonable and objective, admittedly easier to do on some topics than others, but when somebody mashes my buttons, I can be very liberal with the sarcasm. This jerk mashed my buttons.

Oh well, time to go bail out the car and get some groceries. Back later.
