Occasionally the press almost gets it. It's so simple, the President says what he means and he means what he says. Here the Washington Post offers up modest praise for the effectiveness of the President's "quiet diplomacy" this weekend but can't resist taking a jab at his Rose Garden speech and the Powell trip.... It isn't as if they really knew what Powell accomplished or Cheney either for that matter. Quiet Diplomacy Key to Ramallah Deal

"Mr. Arafat must do his job," Bush said. "Somebody asked me one time a while ago, they said, 'Has he disappointed you and has he lost your respect?' And I said, 'Well, he hasn't earned my respect yet.' He must earn my respect by leading."
