Just driving by..still having a waterheater problem..pool on the floor again this morning. Sheesh. And the hubster is off taking care of his buddy who got home from hospital today following the prostate surgery. So it is just me and the cats who don't like being used as a mop..No I'm not really doing that to them. What I am afraid of is damage to the floor and the walls and the possibility of having extended an invitation to termites now! Hubster says I am all wet...pardon the pun...but I say there is real potential for wood rot and termites and .....maybe a new house???? Nah...wood rot and termites maybe but no new house...
It is nice out today but the forcast is for showers later and a sort of gloomy and possibly rainy weekend so I better get the rest of the grass cut and roses pruned so I won'd have to deal with a jungle next time the weather is good. BBL

Don't you have a cut-off valve to the device?
You are correct, hubster is all wet.
I'd be more concerned with an outbreak of mold than the termites, but your flooring concerns are spot on!
Call InsuranceAgentMan right now, and he/she should give you directions on how to proceed, approved/recommended companies to call, etc. Damages should be covered, but time is of the essence.
Keep us posted please. JL

That's no fun! In the house in Colorado we had a lot of "water" problems, mostly from freezing pipes thawing and breaking. Even running the water often did not prevent them freezing. We had to replace the kitchen floor 3 times in 15 years and the living room carpeting twice. And then there was the time that we had a water main break by our back door. The city fixed it but my water bill was horrendous that month and they didn't fix that! Best of luck with it.
