I too was wondering if Jesse Jackson would be at the big bash tonight just to round things out, cover all bases.

Oooops - I failed to connect the dots - thanks, and best wishes. (Wear old gingham farm clothes & clodhoppers, and do your best to look pitiful.) ;-)

I am putting out a call for action. I just sent 4 boxes from The Guild to the USS Kennedy. I am plumb out of tabloids and would like any of you who have any laying around to please send them to me so I can put them in our next shipment. I am talking National Enquirer, The Globe, Star, anything like that. They are lighter than regular magazines so they are cheaper to ship, and the crew loves the gossip.

Good afternoon. Just got back from checking out a friend's lakeside house that's under construction, enjoying a super burger at the Exxon station, bashing the dim/libs, and then enjoying the JimRome radio show on the way home.

A very pleasant mid-day outing. Since today is trash-eve in this part of town, I'll now go tend to that chore. ;-)

Afternoon - all these pics were from American breeders, but I don't know enough to tell you much more than that. (I chose the ones that fit my idea of what the best of breed might look like.) ;-)

Actually I would need SCUBA gear if I sat next to her. I was planning on sitting next to her in clean clothes in bright colors and just periodically give her ' the look'.

Dining at a gas station? Is this a sympathy ploy?

lol - in small towns, really small towns, The Store serves many functions: gas, big worms & minnows, tools, crappy dry goods, and generally has some sort of cook top for breakfast and lunch.

The place that W hangs in Crawford appears very similar, but I don't if they sell gasoline. ;-)

Our town has a place like that, too, but the closest gas station is eight miles away.

Cool. Those are the Polish line. And you're right about choosing the ones that best represent the breed - the Polish line, in my humble opinion, best does that because its hallmark is an incredibly well muscled animal whose conformation allows it to gets its back feet way up under it and drive forward - something the "table-top croups" of the halter horses (which for some odd reason, at least in the 80's, were considered the "true representation" of the breed) don't really do - because the way their bones fit together in the hip disallows their being good athletes.

There's more than you wanted to know, huh. Thanks for the pics, lod - they're my very favorite breed. Next on my list are the wonderful, but tempermental, thoroughbreds.

"Have you ever noticed that all the Dem female Senators are among the nastiest and most liberal women in the world."

I have noticed that. Altho, I'm not sure that Olympia Snow is a picnic, or the other woman senator from Maine whose name escapes me. They are RINO's.

"LOL,,, it isn't very difficult for me to look pitiful."

That's a bald-faced lie, Iowa Granny. I saw you in December in DC and you looked stunning. NO one would EVER guess you were capable, if the desperate need arose, of delivering a pig or two.

My pig pulling days are over. We no longer farrow. The crates have been removed and replaced with finishing pens.

It is reassuring to know that noone will gently awaken me in the middle of the night and say, "Sorry to wake you Mom, but I've got a sow in trouble,,, could you come grease up your arm, and help her out?"
