Do you realize the good will the Church has lost in the last 20 years?

And this line I would tend to disagree with also .. I recall hearing many stories my mother would tell of catholic bashing in her younger days ..

So alot of the good will by non-catholics towards catholics is bullshit

There was an enourmous amount of Catholic bashing, but in the '60s and '70s real gains were made. After Vatican II atitudes changed a lot among people my age and younger. That has now been lost. Feelings are probably worse now than at any time since the religious wars of the 16th century.

So you DID know that many Baptist churches teach that the Catholic Church is 'The Great Whore of the Revelations'?????

I don't agree, but that IS what I was taught.

Strangely enough, we are also taught that the Jews are our ideological brethren, who's safety is second only to our own. And that they should be defended by us Christians, NO MATTER WHAT.

I DO agree with that one, much to Swervie's chagrin. :-)
