They need exposure to real art (and real life).

Val .. it was just a poem that touched their heart .. they put themselves in that poem and thought what if that was my little girl .. that is all

And I believe it is the same poem I posted here on the Freeoples thread last week and yes it also made me cry

My father was not a fireman .. not a policeman or anyone important to any one else .. but he was my hero and I know the feeling and it was real life

Maureen, I was the one who started it, just like I did last time. I will put a gold star beside your name on the list of wimin who think I should keep my mouth shut. It is a growing list. Valerie can't help herself, she can't stand to be left out of a fight. She must be Irish.

Mo, if there was an ounce of genuine emotion on that thread before I posted I'll eat your hat. That pack of ninnies did not get real until they attacked me, then their tender side was really exposed. Tender side = bare a$$. They have "feelings" for fakery, but not for a real person who has been through real loss and dares to challenge them to reach deeper or give it up.
I do compare that unoriginal reworked poem to Elton John's weepy song for a dead blonde - any famous dead blonde will do. If you criticize Elton's song, then you must hate all blonde people and wish them dead and unmourned.

You lost your father when you were a little girl, so it can touch something inside you that is still young and raw and will always be - but these adults have no excuse for being so defensive as if it is personal. If one of them is a little girl who lost her father on 9-11, I'll post a HUGE public apology.
