Good morning again. :) So glad you are feeling better. You have e-mail. I've got to go, but will be home for awhile yet. :)

LOL. gogeo is a charter member FReeople. He made the Exodus to FR with all of us.

The United Methodist Church has homosexual pastors and invites Planned Parenthood reps in to speak to the youth groups. I've battled Planned Parenthood for years, which put me against the United Methodist Church in my old home county, too. They were disgusting.

How true. I feel the same way. There IS a real hard core movement behind all this with the churches. It's not your imagination, nor just your denomination. The Baptist told them to stuff themselves. :)
To: Darlin'
Hi Darlin'. I hope you felt well enough to attend your event last night and enjoy it.
To: ValerieUSA
Yes, that is the result of the UN NGO's efforts to corrupt Christianity.
To: Letitring
It's sad, but I guess it means the destruction of all the large, mainline churches. I've spoken with my pastor about it and I don't think it can be fought. I've attended smaller and independent churches. I guess that's where I'm headed back to.

Mornin' girlfriend, Thanks, I'm still pretty wobbly but I'm moving around at least. That's progress. I've reduced my schedule today, can't possibly stick to the original. :)
To: ValerieUSA
Thanks Valerie, I am better. Yes, I went for a couple of hours and I made it through but I didn't dare eat a bite. LOL. I got someone to fill in for me this morning and I'm trying to decide if I can get it together to make an appearance this afternoon. :)

I thankfully nuked my Outlook address book after being hit twice with the W32Magistr virus last fall. Why don't you have anti virus software and a firewall?
I am using McAfee. It is automatically updated every day, sometimes several times a day. I have never had a virus or worm infect my system.

Liberal "theology" has infected the nations' seminaries severely. I spent 1 year in junior college, 3 years in a state university, followed by 2 years in seminary. While there was a prevailing liberal mindset and constant challenges to the conservative psyche in the state school setting, at least there was room for challenge and I was forced to take stock and come to terms with why I believed what I believed, so overall it was a positive experience in spite of the political overtones to everything. But nothing in my prior experience prepared me for the seminary, which by comparison made the state university appear ultra-conservative. The liberal claptrap they were spewing at every mandatory assembly/indoctrination meeting was enough to make you puke. I and a handful of others were among the most outspoken against this crap and I stayed constantly on the firing line. And nothing made the profs madder that ro use scripture in their classrooms to prove a point, even if their field was actual Bible doctrine.
I remember my first day there how incredulous I was at the obvious lack of spiritual substance I saw all around me, in both students and leaders. One silly bitch even got up and led a "diversity" song celebrating homosexuality and actually expected everybody to join in. Then there was an endless barrage of talks by "representative" minorities as to what they were mad about and why they had a right to be. The bulletin boards were plastered with financial "opportunities" for education but only if you were a "representative minority."
At first I thought that it was just THAT seminary, but after prolonged exposure to individuals from different backgrounds and seminaries throughout the country, I became convinced that the condition of the nation's seminaries is but another manifestation of the spiritual cancer which has swept the country under liberal rule. It was summed up very well in a response by a student to a question posed in one of these meetings set up to address "issues" of first year students. The concern was voiced that there was little spirituality evident in the seminary environment and that seemed odd in a place that was supposed to be preparing spiritual leaders. The response was, "if you want sprituality then you need to go someplace else."

Oh I wasn't raising issue about that, just making an observation about how we all tend to come here and talk to ourselves at various times.

I've gone to a couple of Baptist churches here (that's what dominates Waco) but they are white - all white. There are some all black congregations, too. I am not used to that, and am very uncomfortable with it.
If that makes you uncomfortable, then you might want to try the Methodists.
:-)
I have NO trouble with black people wanting to worship with other blacks, or with whites doing so.
As a matter of fact, it seemed like your comment implied some sort of underlying racism, which I am NOT comfortable with, either.

"Why don't you have anti virus software and a firewall? " I do now. I had McAfee at that time and it was apparently useless. I since installed Norton's which did a great job of cleaning up the mess on my computer. I thought it was toast at that point. I also have Zone Alarm, but I am a techno-moron so I really don't know how to effectively configure and use it without locking myself out of places I want to be.

The United Methodist Church ... invites Planned Parenthood reps in to speak to the youth groups. Why are you surprised? Planned Parenthood was founded by Episcopalians and Methodists, prominently including Dubya's grandmother.

I've just always been a part of mixed congregations with a wide variety of ages and where anyone of any race was welcomed and felt comfortable. I could invite friends from school or work to go to church with me without considering their race or that they wouldn't "fit in."
