she swam in the duckpond
she writhed in ecstacy on her back in anything disgustin'
she stuck her long nose in all the gopher holes
in the softball field we attached the two leashes together, and she had to run on her short fat stubby legs to keep up with him
she was so happy on ride back, she sat in well of car and looked up at us in utter contentment

Ah, your story of Lulu and her day in the park, was sheer enjoyment for me....I could just see her sitting in the well of the car, so happy and thrilled with her day....I bet its funny to watch her keeping up with Happy, as those short chubby stumpy legs of a basset have to work overtime, to keep up with the longer legged doggies...

I bet Miss Lulu sleeps well, and sleeps soundly tonite...she will probably dream about her day in the park, and enjoy herself all over again...bless her sweet bassety heart...
