Another sign that the apocalypse might be coming. . .Burger King is about 3 months away from opening it's doors on our beloved Malecon (waterfront). They took a beautiful 100-year-old adobe building on the boardwalk and are converting it into the home of the Whopper! Can the Colonel be far behind? There is one good culinary note. Many of you readers have been on my famous La Paz taco tour where we hop from one streetside taco stand to another sampling the best of La Paz' taquerias stuffing our faces with carne asada, carnitas, el pastor and stuffed potatoes. Well. . .there was never a good night-time fish taco bistro for us to visit. Ole! Got two new ones for us to sample. The famous Hermanos Gonzales brothers who are the IN-N-OUT of fish taco stands in the day have set up a beautiful fish taco stand on the Malecon towards the Marina Palmira. They have fish, lobster, clam, shrimp and oyster tacos that are food-of-the-gods! Forget El McDonalds!
