I think of all the places he went to and people that he met, it was indeed the Tibetans that absolutely stole his heart....he said they were so dirty, so smelly, so poor, and yet so beautiful, so warm, so friendly, and so full of hope, in spite of great hardships of living and religious persecution by the Chinese...he really did admire the Tibetans...

I had always wanted to see Tibet, and never having had the chance, I am so glad that at least my son got there, and that he loved it there...he brought home many things from Tibet, for me, as he knew I would so appreciate such treasures...

And he has tons and tons of pictures of Tibet, of the scenery, and tons of pictures of the Tibetan nomads, especially the children, which he found to be irrestible...
