Why do you think that Atlas wanted to trick Hercules?? He was tired of supporting the vault of the sky. I am tired of supporting people who hate me and are actively seeking to subvert this country and bring about it's demise from within.
You certainly understand the plot of Atlas Shrugged, even if you haven't read it.

That may be the plot of Altas Shrugged, but the contrived characters were decidedly different than the patriots. Their self-worship is not comparable to the faith of the Pilgrims or Founding Fathers.
