Too bad you're neighbors aren't as enlightened. FOFL Well the truth is they don't turn it on due to the cost of running .. and there houses don't really cool off
A few years ago I updated the my heating/AC system and it was worth EVERY penny ..
They end up with a 400 electric bill and still a hot house and I end up having 150 electric bill and a cold house
This is one of the reasons way all the neighborhood kiddies are always over my house in the summer ..

Inefficient heating and cooling systems need to be replaced - I don't know why people resist making the change. I never hear of anyone being dissatisfied with an updated CH/AC.

FOFL. Like I said,
"Too bad you're neighbors aren't as enlightened. FOFL "
I have a new heating and A/C system, too. I've been very happy with the AC. I moved in last year during our hottest, most humid month- August - and it was great. I wasn't as happy with the heating or the heating bills over the winter. My bill doubled.

A very smart move with the new HVAC system - they indeed will pay for themselves quickly, and it's so nice to be able to jack the t'stat down to "Chill Meat" if you so desire. Good job.
