Good afternoon Val. We blast off tomorrow at 11:20am and will be back this coming Sunday. Prolly not long enough to do justice to the town, or the surrounding area.

I've never seen this part of our country, but everyone says it's a must see city - especially the historic district, where all the events, save the golf tournament, will be held.

I splurged a little bit on the room, but Mrs. lodwick is worth it.

If you will not use the interstate highways on your southeron expedition, I think you guys will have a superior trip, and see a whole different view of the south. Side trips to plantations, local diners, fresh seafood and small town America are awaiting you.

I've found that Mapquest keeps putting me on the freeways, so I'll have to deviate (settle down swervy) from their routes a bit.

You and Mrs Lodwick are going to have a fabulous time in LUXURY!
We're packing our tent. *L* We'll see a few Motel 6's, too, (or little old motels) so I can recharge the camera batteries.
