What are they eating, and who are they? I don't understand. I've missed the boat. :) I'll go back and read, see if I can make sense of what we are talking about. :)

What are they eating, and who are they?

They are anyone with money or skills. I will not be surprised to see Microsoft or other major light industrial companies move literally offshore with all their employees to escape a punitive government. They will have products to sell and trade to agricultural nations.
