I've read about Eureka Springs - it sounds like a great place. It's a lot closer to home than Annapolis, so I may have to see it on another trip if we start to run out of time.

"I may have to skip Florida and go from New Orleans to Savannah"

Indeed...a much more charming and southern experience.

I thought it was amazing that they were still using the old list and hadn't recruited a new batch of teachers to pick from by now.

She's retired. No room full of crying screaming kids if this one blows up. (Did that sound cynical?)

Let me restate that. I don't have a kid young enough to be in high school.

"glad to be home? Was it hot and muggy there?"

I'm barely home. Just long enough for a little quick FReeping and a "nap" before another long day tomorrow. We have been really shorthanded so we've had some long and rough days. And yes, it was really hot and muggy today. I think it's going to be a really hot summer judging by the early indications.

That would be Assateague Island off the coast of Virginia and Maryland. That's near Teeman

The ones on Shackleford Banks are the most famous ones here in NC. I think that Corolla has some too.

This was taken at my favorite camping spot in Eureka Springs. It was in late fall.

This is from the railroad museum there. I don't have a lot of my Eureka Springs pics on my computer yet.

For such a small town it certainly seems to have an inordinately large number of things that are "bigger than life."
