Well, our first attempt to get it together didn't go so smooth!... Ramius could play well till he had to leave, but I had a horrid ping there. Wonder if it is reasonable to expect folk from different parts of the country to get good pings on the same server.

I have noticed that you can't count on servers to always ping well that play well once... The ones I have put in my favorites have turned out to never be good again.

We can try again another night! Any suggestions from you guys on how to make it work better? - Maybe one of us should host after all, just so it is not so hard to find each other.

We probably should have a list of about 6 servers (maybe 4 maps of DM,1 Team DM and 1 CTF). and we can simply go to the alternates if they're pinging too high. That server ran ok for me at first, but after about an hour it started giving hiccups.I'll do some scanning for some and post some server suggestions. We could all test them and see which ones work through the week. This will take some trial and error,but once we get the bugs worked out it should go much more smoothly.

Hosting a server might be worth a shot too. In fact I think I might try it tomorrow if anyone's interested. The big advantage to that is we can limit access to just our group.
