Unreal Tournament Players out there?

Any Freepers out there that play Unreal Tournament or other online games? - I like to play on the public servers, but it would be more fun to shoot at people I know once in awhile...

I would like to find a server for Serious Sam: The Second Encounter. That game is mind-blowing fun on multiplayer. You can set on Co-op to increase the number of enemies proportionally to the number of player. My office had a LAN party going on it, and for the last hour and a half, I NEVER STOPPED FIRING! I have never had so much in a video game, before or since. It's not a complicated game, it's just mayhem, like Doom or Duke Nukem. If you ever get a round of that going ping me. Serious Sam rules! Oh, and yes, I do play UT, deathmatch only, though. don't like anything else.

I play Diablo 2, and I just last week bought Dungeon Siege, which allegedly has wicked multiplayer capabilities. Anyone wanna play a chick game?

Also, here's a thread that you might find helpful. I started it awhile back to find other FR gamers, and was quite successful.

I just got Dungeon Siege as well. I am looking forward to seeing what the multiplayer is like, though that is when I have time. I played it for about 5 minutes, and it looks ALOT better than diablo, plus I hear that you can manage a party, though I haven't seen any other characters, yet.

I see on that thread that Grand Theft Auto 3 is mentioned. That game is coming out for the PC this month, and it is going to be multiplayer! Who's up for that? I get the Tank!

We have that for PS2, and although I absolutely suck at driving games (and reality), GTA3 is hilarious. It's the only game I've ever seen that's truly as much fun to watch someone else play as it is to play yourself. Xena's Guy played it for something like eight hours the day we got it, and although his butt fell asleep, he asserted that it was well worth it.

Been playing Q3 Arena and Team Arena online for a week now. (couple of months single player) It's been a blast! The players I've played against have been fairly nice. Though I don't send too many messages, I just frag. One accused me of being a camper, that's about it. It was his fault for not being alert, I spawned behind him and introduced him to my rail-gun. It's fun to get them frustrated after you frag'em a couple of times and I love to kill the low-ping modem guys stuck to the floor. HaHaHaHa!

If UT is like Q3 Arena, then it seems like you could just notify a few friends to be at such and such server at a certain time and you could take over that map. I might have to check out UT if it's as fun as Q3. I have Unreal, but I guess that won't work too good for network play.

HAHA - sounds like you are having a good time! - yes - I find a lot of rooms full of "fun" people to frag - most are good enough folk. Haven't played Quake in a long time, and I guess I miss some of the maps that I really used to like. I shall give it another try later on I think. Maybe one of us could host a game sometime?

I could probably host a Q3 game, but I'm a relative newbie, never done that before. Though my suggestion re# 31 would be a real easy way to do it. I could just say player "The One" will show up at this server at 8PM central time. When you see "The One" running around the map, that would be me.

UT has considerably better graphics - different guns, a different feel to the maps.

Trying to find each other on a particular server may work. Let me know sometime when you want to give it a shot.

hehehe...Let me go refresh a bit on Q3... been a year since I played it. I was not bad in my day though.... If you see me, I am HairOfTheDog....

I found a good server with a map called "Deck 16". It's name is [CSHP][RAGE]Clan PURE,MapVote3 TDM

It has a cool layout like a factory, there's lots of places to hide and snipe from and a good variety of weapons. Try it out and if that's ok we could try a Deathmatch on it on Sunday. It's a team DM map, but if only two are on the map it will be the equivalent of a normal deathmatch.

It pings around 40-160, haven't had any problems playing it online.

Going there now to check it out that server... see if I get a good ping too... I am familiar with Deck 16. (I guess I just formally decided to goof off and not work much today)

Went and checked it out... got a higher ping than you on it... (250ish) but it seemed like it would play OK... no one came in while I was there so it's hard to tell for sure, but it felt like I was in real time. Going out now to play in regular DM servers now that I have the bug to play a bit! - Need to find some servers with folk in them!
