Black is not Mrs. Bush's color, and hopefully she won't have to wear it often. Beautiful pearls though.

Farewell to the Queen Mother Elizabeth, the last of the Edwardians.

The Earl of Wessex, front right, stands vigil beside the Queen Mother's coffin while it lay in state at Westminster Hall in London, Monday April 8 2002, the eve of her funeral which will be held at Westminster Abbey. The Earl, his two brothers, the Duke of York, rear left, and the Prince of Wales, rear right, and their cousin Viscount Linley, left, echoed history in a poignant ceremony reminiscent of another royal vigil, on the same spot at Westminster Hall, for King George V in 1936. Did you see the crown on the Queen Mum's coffin? I hope they don't forget to take that off before they bury her.
Camilla showed up, and the Queen Mum turned over. She hated Camilla.
To: Teacup

May this be the happiest birthday of all.

Eeek! I can never look at her without remembering Charles' comment about wishing he were a t**pon (a feminine device).

Good Morning! It has been awhile!
WOW! Laura looks stunning in that suit and hat (and pearls).
To: mountaineer
lol - you do a grave disservice to horses everywhere.
What's this with Chuckie's fantasy? Good grief, there's got to be easier ways to pin one's ears back.

Good job with the concept- but watch out, these ladies can take an idea and go faster than that Porsche with it.

LOL..Which one is Camilla?

Prince Chuck must have forgotten what happens to said feminine products after they've served their useful purpose - flushed down the porcelain convenience and thence to the mighty Thames.

I have a question on etiquette, or tradition, if you will..
The princess broke tradition..was the first female member of the royal family to walk in the procession behind the gun carriage....she was in naval uniform....inside the church..all men are hatless...especially officers....all caps removed..yet women keep hats on....OK so far, normal custom..however, princess kept her officers cap ON inside the church.....to me, she should have removed it.....seems the customs of the service should govern..and BTW..the flyover was magnificent....
