Stupid public school education. =)" There was a worldwide catastrophe in 540AD that began the Dark Ages. Some think the catastrophe was a comet that impacted into the Celtic Sea. There wasn't much civilization going on anywhere in the world at that time. (They probably didn't tell you that either, huh?)
