So do I. I have no real answer for this other than to love them while they walk beside us.
I guess thats all we can do, love them while they are here...my husband and I spoil each and every animal we have ever had...we justify this by telling ourselves, that since they have such a short life span in comparison to our own, that we must love them double, or triple, whatever..
We have raised our human children with massive amounts of love, and it paid off...so we raise our 'animal' children with that same love, and get rewarded a thousand fold...
