I agree, Lord of the Rings was fabulous - A Beautiful Mind is completely different from it. Not even a comparable experience watching it, even though they are both movies and you watch them in theaters and they are excellent - that's all they have in common.

Good morning! I am reading some of the comments posted last night and saw the ones about the recent California earthquakes. The earthquake in 1989 is the one that damaged the Oakland bay bridge. The politicans and interest groups are still squabbling over it, the eastern span needs to be replaced completely. I don't know who was governor in 1989, could have been Pete Wilson. I wasn't living here then. I don't remember exactly what year the Northridge earthquake happened, but it was in the 90's and Pete Wilson was governor. the freeway overpasses and other repairs were made very quickly. A lot of this was politics - the politicians from southern california have more juice than the ones from the bay area. There are huge rivalries between Northern Cal and Southern Cal. I just hope they replace the Oakland Bay Bridge before the next big earthquake and a few thousand people and their cars end up in the bay.

Good morning! It's a fine sunny morning here, the birds are singing! It was supposed to be raining, but it looks like it cleared out early. We went to dinner last night to a placed called Chez Maurice and had rack of lamb. Oh, yummy! I ate too much, i'll have to work out today.

Oh....this weather! LOL.....as the old timers say, "If you don't like the weather, just wait 15 minutes--it'll change".
At least it didn't freeze....but it ain't bikini weather, either!! And it is drizzly this morning....but if you look skyward, there are patches of blue...so I imagine in a bit, we'll get to see old man Sun! :)

Thanks for the info about the earthquakes. I thought we were talking about two separate quakes.

I woke up in time for church, so I had better get ready. I was having awful dreams, so there wasn't any reason to sleep in this morning. *L* BBL

Oh.....lamb!! I love it...when we lived in So-Cal, we lived not too far from a Basque restaurant....and, of course, anything lamb was a specialty....that's where I first ate lamb...
And then, when we sold our cattle off, I went into raising sheep a whole lot more than the handful I had before we sold the cattle.
Used to be involved with the western Montana sheep producers in putting on annual seminars, etc., and once donated a ram lamb for the luncheon meal [can you believe--when we first started having these seminars, I was the only woman on the planning committee--and all the guys, when we were discussing a luncheon menu were saying we should have 'beef, chicken, and a veggie menu, or pork, beef, and a veggie menu! Made me so mad--I asked if they were sheep producers or shit kicker cowboys!!! Egads--nothing like being a sheep producer and promoting beef or chicken or portk!!! Duh! Hello!]
Anyhow, the Sheraton Hotel in Missoula had a good chef....when we approached him about serving lamb dishes for 150 people, he came up with some fabulous menus using LAMB! Wish I could cook 1/10th as good as that....huummmmmm good!

Good Morning FReeoples. Drive by post, as Darlin' calls it. LOL. Still have much company. Maybe things will slow down by mid-week. :) Molly and me are busy going places, etc. The great camera caper hasn't turned out so well, yet. LOL. We are giving it another try tomorrow. So far, I have one great shot of Flashs' back and backside. :) This isn't the most user friendly gadget I've ever met. That's for sure. :) See you guys later. Hugs to all. SWERVIE, SMOOCHES. Hope you are ever so much better. :)

I'd like to see her win just to whopp ass, if nothing else! Wouldn't it be a kick in the butt to actually have a Senator that believed in the Constitution? Scary thought!

Ringy, you'll do great with the pics--so long as you keep your thumb off the front of the camera....that's my Mom's favorite trick! LOL
