SAKAIMINATO, Tottori -- Sakaiminato Municipal Government authorities have turned to monsters to help put the city on the map. Paperwork issued by the municipal government - including the family registers that detail intimate parts of people's lives - will feature pictures of monsters drawn by renowned cartoonist Shigeru Mizuki. Mizuki was born in Sakaiminato and his monster cartoon characters are a favorite among Japanese children.
