Last big one I had I fought all the way to the shore. And as I went down to grab him the line broke, 6lb test. I never made that mistake again!
Also fun - I was using a bank line, no reel or rod, testing out some bait. Hit a carp and pulled him in. Lucky I did not get my hand cut off! You can have up to 50 bank lines here as long as they are tagged and secured. I never got the chance to secure that one...
