Sightings ...BILL Clinton hungrily clasping hands with a beguiling British blonde at Oxford University's North American Reunion at the Waldorf-Astoria .

ROSIE O'Donnell came out swinging yesterday at the racist, homophobic group that got her to narrate its Oscar-nominated documentary, "Artists and Orphans: A True Drama." O'Donnell is demanding she be taken out of the film produced and written by members of the Fourth Way, run by multimillionairess Sharon Gans. A shocked O'Donnell raged on her morning show: "Their lawyer called me and warned me not to call them a cult, but . . . you know how you know when you're in a cult? You don't know!" She went on, "What is my luck that of all the theater groups in the world, the one I pick would be a cult?"
Regarding Lianne Klapper McNally, who got O'Donnell involved, Rosie said: "I'm so sickly co-dependent, I want to save that woman from the cult . . . I am going to get every bit of information on the cult and send it to her . . . I know you're watching me, I talked to you about your kid. There is a God. Get out of the cult! Call me."
Hey Rosie, you're right - there is a God. Get out of your homosexual lifestyle.
YOU know the jostling for the Democratic presidential nomination has really begun when Al Gore shaves the beard off and John Kerry takes the gloves off. Gore, in one of those waffles that drive his supporters to despair, says he only got rid of the whiskers for Tipper's sake, but Kerry is offering no beg pardons for his own strident criticisms of President Dubya and the conduct of the war against terrorism.
Kerry, the Massachusetts senator who's married to moneybags Teresa Heinz is sounding like a definite contender right now- one who's willing to take on a president at the height of his popularity when others are keeping silent.
Washington is already talking about Kerry's latest round of sniping, which appears in a long interview in the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone. The Navy veteran, who served in Vietnam, makes a few snide cracks about nonservicemen not knowing much about how to run a war.
"I've been uncomfortable with the way the president says it's not up to him to make some of the choices about the war," Kerry tells Rolling Stone's Paul Alexander. "I do know there are reasons to be concerned about some of the choices they've made. . . . I would have made some different choices . . . because of my experience in Vietnam, because of my experience in the military."
Kerry notes that "al Qaeda is still alive. Al Qaeda is still around. And they were the principal target." He goes on to specifically criticize Bush's decision to manage the war from a base in Florida, rather than be close to the action. "I would not have done that, no," Kerry says. That decision, he claims, was just one step that has made the situation a lot more complicated than it needs to be.
Idiot.
Isn't it a little outrageous of Elton John to attack David Gest for marrying Liza Minnelli When Elton himself once wed a woman in a blaze of publicity? Nobody in their civilized right mind held that against the talented Mr. John, who now turns around and smacks two people getting married because of his (Elton's) suspicions about their sexuality.
This is what I call damning with faint praise: Tom Cruise tells Barbara Walters just how much and why he loves Penelope Cruz:
"It's wonderful. I mean, you know, it's wonderful. I have to say she is as kind as she is, uh, as beautiful, and as, uh, as sweet as she is kind. And, uh, uh, it's something that I'm enjoying very much."
I bet it is.
With this kind of logic, I suppose we're all in a cult, because we don't know it. Good Gawd.
Whew, for a second this looked liked another lime jello thread.
Must be a family thing.
Everyone take care, I hope your flowers survive this frosty weather.
I have a different definition of CFR after the vote, but it would get me kicked out of the Southern Ladies Society, which would mean no more Mimosas, Magnolias, and Mint Juleps, ever, so I will refrain from sharing.
