Hebrews 12
1 Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.

I have a concern for a family member that has developed some strange biblical ideas. One is that no Christian should ever divorce under any circumstances, none. I can't imagine that the Lord would want me to live with someone that had molested children or committed adultery, or who had beaten me within an inch of my life. I really don't understand her thinking at all.

The second is more disturbing. She has come up with the opinion that because Jesus became angry at the money-changers at the temple, he sinned. She also he stated he sinned two other times, though she didn't say when.
She got into a fight with her pastor over this.

She has also made what I consider outrageous criticisms of her pastor, he baptized a retarded woman, and another that turned out to be mentally disturbed. (The disturbed woman is now getting psychiatric care, thanks to the pastor) She stated there was no way that the two women could ever understand what was going on in church, due to their mental capacity.
In essence, she was saying they should not have been allowed to become Christians.

Maybe this is none of my business and should not concern me, but it does. This woman is in a position that her ideas could influence my children, though we do limit the amount of contact she has with them.

She is and has been churched. I was informed by family members that she has held the belief about Jesus sinning (which I most certainly DO NOT believe) for many years, even when she was a Sunday School teacher. She is not the type of person that can be reasoned with, she is very proud and likes to be right about everything. And if the truth is told, she has been an angry person for much of her life. Please pray for her, I don't know what else to do. Personally, I think she is mentally ill, and has been that way for many years. I know this post is strange, but sometimes real life is stranger than fiction. Thanks.
