A bunch of fire engines (four total) went by, so I turned on the scanner to see what happened. Egads... I forgot how frightening it is to listen to the scanner on a Friday night. Even in a small town...

I always have to get used to that when I'm back at my parents house. There are only 17,000 people in my home county.

And everybody knows everybody. Which was a good enough reason to leave.
