My whistle is a little over 11.5" long and 1/2" in diameter. It's brushed brass with a green mouthpiece. I like it, but OT's is obviously the cooler (and better) whistle of the two. She has some background in music, I understand and felt more comfortable paying alittle extra. My whistle cost me about $7.45! I have ancient history flute playing in my background but am having to re-learn a lot of stuff. Matthew is taking a co-op class this next fall, music theory. I'm going to attend with him!

Thanks for the whistle info! I've never learned a musical instrument myself, but it strikes me that the whistle may be one that's fairly easy to learn. Probably a case of easy to learn, hard to master.
