Remember the other day when we were talking about paying for things using the honor system? Well, I bought a watermelon yesterday at a indoor fruit stand. The watermelons were outside. The lady asked me what size I wanted and I said a small one. She rang it up and told me to get it when I left. There were small medium and large ones and if I weren't honest, I could have taken any size. Heck, I could've taken one without paying for it. I wonder if there are people who do? I suspect not many, actually.
The news once did an experiment where they loaded up a trunk of a car with wrapped gifts here in Tulsa and left the trunk wide open with the gifts piled up. Then they secretly filmed as people walked by. Not one person touched them!
We have our share of crime, but Tulsa is a pretty nice place.
