Oh they are gorgeous and remind me of the area on the shores of Lake Superior called "The Arrowhead". My husband was born and raised on those shores...literally a few blocks away. There is a river there called "The Baptism" and looks much like that first picture. There is also a cliff there called Palisade Head and my youngest and I have picked wild blueberries at the top of it.

Oh they are gorgeous and remind me of the area on the shores of Lake Superior called "The Arrowhead". My father was born a little further to the west, in Ely, Minnesota. His parents were among the early settlers up there, arriving in the late 1880's. I only visited there when I was very young, before kindergarten, but still remember the lakes and picking blueberries. The north country is very beautiful in all seasons, but I do not think that I could stand their winters anymore.
