My 19-year-old son goes to movies a LOT so I was anxious to hear his opinion..he is not familiar with the story at all...........

He said it was a "pretty good movie" and is looking forward to TTT. Also plans to get the DVD. Afterwards I barraged him with a bunch of trivia re: the film, the actors, etc. including the tattoo thingy and the fact that Viggo accepted the role shortly before filming began, etc. etc. etc. He seemed genuinely interested.

But my b-i-l STILL refuses to see it. I give up.

And hubby won't go again................silly man thinks 3 times is enough.

RE your B-I-L.... yeah, I know... eventually you have to give up... we have a new lurker/poster that refuses to see it too... and I just don't understand what the big deal is.

If you love the story, and the movie isn't perfect, what have you lost? - spent 3 hours. Is not loving the movie going to make you hate the book? I just shake my head

And Get Your Son to Read The Book! - Mandatory! (if you can make a 19 year-old do anything!)
