She must have been so relieved to finally hold that baby in her arms and know she could finally eat in peace.

Both the Stormhands dwarvlings were delivered by C-section. My wife had complications with her blood pressure during both pregnancies. Jr. was four weeks early and she almost had a stroke before he was delivered. She was so sick (and out of it) she couldn't see him for almost 24 hours. The little one was 10 weeks early, but she was awake for the procedure.

Pre-eclampsia? That's a bear! My sister had that with my nephew and it was extremely frightening. Even the bravest dwarf would be hard pressed not to fear pregnancy hypertension. *shudder*
