I love the open door of Bag End! it's a perfect picture for our little Hole! Very welcoming for visitors too (especially Pres Bush! LOL!)
I try not to let politics interfere with my movie going experiences, but I will admit that I refuse to pay to watch any flick with Alec Baldwin, Barbra Streisand, Julia Roberts, Ben Affleck, any of the Sheens and a few others. It drives Glen bananas!! I can't stomach certain actors though - especially Baldwins and Sheens!!! They stink anyway!
I really wish actors would keep their mouths shut on their political leanings. *sigh*

Eh, if you were a famous person who could get air-time, I am sure you would take the opportunity to push your agenda also! ;~D
I just think we as conservatives should relax a bit about artist visions. People who are very artistic by nature also tend to be quite unorthodox in their politics. Viggo is a really eccentric person. He wore his sword and slept outside during the filming for Pete's sake. I would be quite surprised if he wasn't also unorthodox in his politics.
I think we look worse for getting upset about it. I tend to listen and think, hmmm.... so that is how eccentric people make out the world... interesting.
OK.... I guess I will go post that to the thread in question, dangit.... I formulated a view about this, and I didn't want to.

We will probably go to that theater also. Thanks for letting me know that it will be there. We perhaps ought to schedule a mini moot at some point while it's there.
Which reminds me, I am afraid to weigh myself now, after all that eating, which seems to have carried on for more than one day...Maybe tomorrow I will look at a scale.

It is always interesting to me how these actors are reflexively so far to the left and not fence sitters. They make it their work, at least the method actors do and Vigs is one, to get inside the head of their character and really try to understand what motivates the character. It becomes easy to sympathize with the character and not judge him too harshly because he's human and has flaws. If they were consistent and true to their craft, they'd be sitting on the fence, snapping their gum, and babbling about not rushing to judgement, being able to see the merit of both sides, Republicans love their children, too, etc...
But I'm with you. I try not to let the idots spoil too much of my fun- and I'm pretty good at it. I love U2's music, but Bono is such a dufuss!
