We've had a fake tree for the last 7 yrs. We solved the 'scent dilemma' by placing heavily pine (or balsam) scented candles or potpourri in the same room.

I didn't get the tree tonight - the lines were too long at the supermarket and I just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible.

I didn't get any SPAM either, but I did get the beef stew and chicken and dumplings that 2J mentioned. I'll taste test them and see if I've found a shortcut for quick lunches around here!

And, of course, it figures that I finally get a chance to visit the Hobbit Hole at night and there is no one to talk to. I don't know how long I'll be online, but I'll pop back in if I can! :)
