Hi...back from all my travels, for awhile, anyway! I ended up going to the music jam last night in spite of the weather. It was slow going, but not as bad as it could have been. Mucho slush, though. And we had a realllllly, realllllllly annoying character show up. One guy who comes occasionally came with his cousin, who was a real jerk, IMO. He apparently found the whole idea that people would seriously get together to play bluegrass and old country music to be incredibly amusing, and kept whooping and hollaring all through our playing, basically making fun of it. Plus singing with us VERY loudly and off-key - on purpose, I would say, since on the one or two songs we did that he actually LIKED, he had a very nice voice. But it really kind of wrecked things for me. Since I'm not really in charge, I didn't say anything to him, but I should have. If he comes again, I'll go 2J on him.
Now I'm thinking I should work on my story. I'm struggling with feelings of guilt because I don't think I'll finish tonight - I got the 50k in, but I don't think I'll finish. So I feel like I cheated. ;-) Not to mention I'm unhappy with my story's logic. There's a lot that doesn't make sense. I guess I can work that out later, but it still bugs me.
