"Krogers orginated in Cincinnati:

Oh.

"Two things have to happen before islamic terrorism will be defeated.

1) The world must come to understand that 99.9% of terrorism is state sponsored.

2) To defeat terrorism we must realize the threat (which most don't), realize that this is a clash of civilizations (which must don't) and realize that the only reason the terrorists use terror is because they don't the weapons yet to do more damage (which will soon end)."

Forgive me for getting off topic, but since you're here, I wanted to bring up your post from last week.

Just that I agree (more than) strongly with both of these points. It somehow hadn't filtered thru my thick skull that the terrorist require state sponsorship, or at least states that look the other way. But once you think about it it's obvious. Thanks for pointing it out.

I did see right from the start that if those idiots would kill 3000+ people (they hoped for more) without warning just for the sheer hatred of it, that they will do much worse when they can. There shouldn't be any doubt that they will gladly use WMD's, without warning, when they get them.

As even the leftist Tony Blair realizes, Western Civilization is under attack.

I have a turkey in the smoker right now, that hickory smoke has a great aroma.

I want to recommend two books for you to read. Both by Benjamin Netanyahu: A Durable Peace and Fighting Terrorism.

Bibi pulls no punches, and he's right. The only way to fight terrorism is to dismantle the states that sponsor it.

Tonight, in my terrorism class, I am going to learn how to write threat assessments.

And why wouldn't Saddam Hussein give a dirty nuke to an Al Qu-aeda member? He wants America destroyed too.

Remember, it's not ideology that pulls the terrorist and the state together, but the mututal goal. Osama Bin Ladin may consider Saddam a Pan-arabist and not a good Muslim, but they share a common enemy standing in the way of their victory. The West. So, together, they will destroy the West...both using each other. Later, they will have to turn on each other... but don't worry, both think that Allah is on their side and will give them victory one over the other.

My brother-in-law is deep-frying a turkey. Should be interesting.

At least I know at his house we'll have plenty of pints available...
