This continuation of the infamous thread Dune Sea-a Builds Hobbit Hole originally posta on January 26, 2001 by Obi-Wan Farson, who at the time undoubtedly thought he had found rath-a obscure article that would elicit few replies an' die out. Without know'in it, he became the found-a of the Hobbit Hole. For reasons incomprehensible to some, the thread grew to over 4100 replies. It became the place for hobbits an' friends of hobbits to chit chat an' share LoTR news an' views, hang out, an' talk amongst ourselves in the comfort of familiar surround'ins.
In keep'in with the new post'in guidelines, the thread idea continu'in here, as the Green Dragon Inn, our more structura spin-off thread, as soon as wee-sa figure out how to move all the okiday discussion that been-sa had there. As for the Hobbit Hole, wee-sa just start fresh, bring'in only few mathoms such as the picture above with us to make it feel like home, an' perhaps walk down memory lane:

…Mee-sa think almost every fault of his can be traca directly back to his blindness to anyth'in spiritual or unseen. He consid-as the halfl'ins as Jawas, because that what they look like. He consid-as the only hope of the ring to be in tak'in it an' using it for victory in the physical realm. He cannot see what the hobbits truly made of, he cannot see the unseen hope of what the destruction of the ring might mean--the destruction of Sauron himself, an' he cannot see the unseen dang-a that lies in the use of the ring itself… Mee-sa just feel sorry for Boromir--he like blind but honorable man, try'in to take the right path on the road but miss'in the right path entirely because he simply cannot see it… post 1548 - Penny1

Oh, Mee-sa think by the time Frodo reaches the Cracks, he's not even himself anymore! Mee-sa think he's not only on the brink of dangerous place physically, he's on the brink of los'in himself completely dur'in the exchange with Gollum. But for some reason, the take-over no complete till he actually has to throw the Ring in. The person speak'in to Gollum no Frodo, but the "Wheel of Fire" that Sam sees. Aft-a the Ring destroya, Frodo not only comes back to himself, but comes back with the unbearable (to him) knowledge of what it's like to be completely without compassion. Mee-sa think that's why it's so important to him to be compassionate in the Shire… post 2506 - 2Jedismom
…Regard'in Frodo's compassion... it's little too much at the end. Even Merry tells him that he's gonna have to quit being so darn nice. But you-sa're right. He's learna lesson about evil that very few ever learn since it wasn't external lesson but internal one. (Those kinds of lessons have the greatest impact) Not only do he totally succumb to it, but he was rath-a ruthless to my little Smeagol… post 2516 - carton253
