Well, we have debated that before, and will again, I am sure! I think all movies are fantasy. I don't think there is a clear line... I don't think they will be automatically excluded, but what do I know?
I reject that Hollywood rejects movies outright because they show fights between good and evil. They may view morality in shades of gray where we see distinctions, but I don't think they reject movies that show righteousness. I don't think even those people think that way.
My prediction (on the record!) is still that IF the project is to be given a best picture nod, it will be in year three, as a symbolic nod to the three-year work as a whole. I didn't predict they were in the running for year one because of the precident it would set up, and probably not for the middle movie either, because it is the middle film. It will be nominated all three years for both Best Picture and Best Director, but whether it wins even in year three will depend on what else is in the running. In all seriousness, what Tom Hanks does will have as much to do with who wins as how good our films are.
