Hello, all. Another day and still no job news and no new findings, and I'm starting to wonder what's gonna happen. Got a call from one of the other people that got laid off when I did to tell me she'd gotten a job starting tomorrow, which didn't help MY mood much, though I'm happy for her. And I'm starting to get some pressure from family friends who, granted, mean well...but it isn't much help. I think they think I'm being too picky, but the trouble is, most of the jobs around here are pretty low paying - maybe seven or eight dollars an hour, which is OK if it's what you're used to and if you don't have a house and a car and pets and all the bills that go with 'em...but I do now, and I need something better. So I'm stuck waiting. Grrr! Why it takes three weeks to review a resume, I don't understand, but that's what they tell me they're still doing.
Got the tune, 2J! Thanks! Hopefully I can get it printed out and start learning it over the next week or so.
It's seven o'clock and I haven't written a single word yet today. Think I can write a few thousand in the next couple of hours? Guess I gotta try.
Rosie, I was an employment counselor too in a past life, with a particular flair for resumes... if you want me to look at yours or make it pretty, email it to me!
And don't start wondering if it is gonna happen. It really hasn't been that long, and it is not a good time of year. many have vacations and holidays coming up, and might be waiting till the first of the year even if they do have an opening.
Do you want us to have g'nad snuff out the person that got the job already? - We would all do whatever we can to help!
