"Good close up photographs would be as good as written instructions, I would guess.That's true, I think. But I wouldn't mind a few dimensions, such as pipe diameter or size and length, if that's OK.

Certainly! - and the pipe dimensions will depend on which kind of potato you want to use! My brother's works best with those little round red potatoes. I think the ballistics on those are the best. The potato needs to be slightly larger than the diameter of the barrel, so that when you load it, it shaves the potato and form-fits to the pipe hold the pressure in the chamber. if it is too small and doesn't seal, there is not enough pressure to shoot the potato very far.
