..."Goblet of Fire" in particular I thought was very dark, for younger children in particular.

From what I understand Rowlings has stated that it is her intention to increase the "darkness" of the books as the series progresses. Too bad.

Yes; there was a big difference between book 4 and the rest of the books, and they're supposed to get darker yet.........

I watched JK Rowlings on 60 Minutes... she has stated that there will be more deaths, and one of the lead characters will also die. (She's not stating which one)

Her purpose for doing this is to show that evil is just that... evil.
