Oh Absolutely... In his words, only one presidential candidate ever truly understood the plight of the poor, and he (Kennedy) was the only one who was not beholden to special interest groups... therefore, only Kennedy could have made a true and lasting impact on America.

Though JFK was a Democrat, I don't believe he was a leftist, like today's Democrats are, including Ted.

Rush made a good point awhile ago, which is that "special interests" are what America, with freedom of the individual, is all about. It's socialism where, instead of following their own dreams, the people must all work together in pursuit of the "official" dream.

Anyway, I'm glad I don't have to take a course with your professor.
