I'm here, but not for long. Is there any bacon?
Hey, Corin...you might find this amusing. I had a dream last night that would probably make a good story for that site. I was watching a movie (so far as I can remember), and the basic plot of the movie was this: five or six people had pieces of an artifact of some sort (artifacts in movies always being broken like that), and the government wanted it because it was some sort of portal (as artifacts in movies always are). Of course, this being a dream and therefore not logical, they didn't just steal the pieces - they kidnapped the people, chained them in an old boxcar, and drove it to the very end of the line in a jungle somewhere and left it. The people had just escaped and were trying to figure out what to do about being stranded when I woke up, but it seems like an OK beginning for an overwrought sort of story...start with each of the characters, describing their lives and such, and then their kidnapping and waking up trapped together. Could stick in a love interest - I was thinking of maybe between a sort of bitter middle-aged guy whose beloved wife died in an accident he believes is no accident and a woman he fights with constantly during the "adventure"...
And yeah, my dreams are often weird like this...a few weeks ago I had a dream I was on a mission to carry a special little card with important information on it to certain people...I was running through the Metro (subway) in Paris with various people chasing after me and occasionally shooting at me, plus I had Fiona with me which complicated things a great deal. I kept taking trains and THINKING I'd escaped from them, but then someone would come up and ask me for the time and then pull a gun, or something like that. I have an overactive imagination, I guess.
