Maybe we would be more accurate if we said Neo, especially at the end, had a Christ-like sledgehammer. ;^)

Maybe "overtones" was the wrong word for me to use... I was thinking of some of the superficial similarities, such as "The One" had left, but was prophesied to return one day; Neo's "dying" and being "resurrected", stuff like that.
